Registration for Module One - LIVE Online!

Canada - LIVE, Online - Module One
January 11 to January 12

Location: LIVE Online! This course will be delivered through Zoom, you will need a strong internet connection to participate.

Dates:

  • Session 1 - Saturday, January 11th, 11am EST (9:00am MST) until 2pm EST – TEACHER ONLY 
  • Session 2 - Saturday, January 11th, 3pm EST (1:00 pm MST) until 6pm EST – TEACHER & DEMONSTRATOR
  • Session 3 - Sunday, January 12th, 11am EST (9:00 am MST) until 2pm EST – TEACHER ONLY
  • Session 4 - Sunday, January 12th, 3pm EST (1:00 pm MST) until 6pm EST – TEACHER & DEMONSTRATOR
    *Practical exams* will take place following Session 4. Each teacher will have a time slot within the 60 minutes after the conclusion of the course material. DEMONSTRATORS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE PRACTICAL EXAM

 

**’Teacher only’ sessions do not require space.

***’Teacher and demonstrator’ sessions require the space of a cartwheel.

There is a MANDATORY Online Study that must be completed prior this course. Material from the Online Study will be sent out 7 days prior to course (estimated time required 2 - 4 hours).

This course covers the first half of the syllabus, from Primary to Level 6.  During this course, teachers will learn proper placement and technique for the foundations of AcroDance, including handstands, cartwheels and bridges.  Teachers will learn proper spotting techniques, basic anatomy, AcroDance transitions and lesson planning.  The skill level for this course ends at level 6 in the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus (front & back walkovers, chest stands, assisted handstands) and is prerequisite  for Acrobatic Arts Module Two.  Module One Certified teachers can register dancers for exams up to Level 6. 

*Demonstrators must have a strong bridge recover, cartwheel and handstand as a minimum to safely participate and advance to higher levelled skills such as the back & front walkover with an assist spot.

Certification Requirements: Module One Certification will be granted after; the completion of online study, course attendance, successful practical spotting exam and a grade of 75% or higher on the written exam. For further details, CLICK HERE
